Catering for Christmas with Caiger & Co.

CaigerandCo • Aug 20, 2018

We’ve been working on plenty of Christmas in July events over the last month or so – as ever, in the eye of a heatwave, you can always guarantee that we’ll have a wonderful meal like roasting turkey and that our kitchen will be full of the aromas of mulled wine.

These events are a great way for brands to show off their plans for Christmas, but they also ensure we’re in the Christmas spirit to think about fresh, nutritious food for our clients' Christmas parties.

We love Christmas for lots of reasons, not least because there’s so much great produce around at this time of year, wonderful traditions to engage & get creative with, and it’s a time to celebrate with family & friends more often than not, around a table or at a party with plenty of food & drinks. Catering for Christmas can mean all sorts of things; it can encompass anything from the breakfast you serve on Christmas morning or the canapés you serve at your Christmas do with the neighbours to the sumptuous sides to go with the Christmas lunch and the kind of mince pies you like.

Catering for Christmas has been a big part of our kitchen conversations for a few months now – the nature of our business means we get to start thinking about catering for Christmas a bit earlier than most people, and we relish the first Christmas pudding we can legitimately try as part of our ‘research’ (honestly, usually in about June).

Preparing to cater for Christmas can be a really stressful time. It’s also a really busy time of year for everyone with nativity plays to watch, presents to buy & fridges to fill. Unfortunately, as much as we might like to, we can’t help with the nativities or present buying, but fridges we can do!

Event catering services

Work with us to help with all of your catering for Christmas needs. Here at Caiger & Co. we have created a wonderful selection of drop off catering menus. These aim to help you with your catering for Christmas plans, whatever your event or requirement.

We can always provide a complete event planning & organisation service, but we’re also very happy to offer a ‘build your own’ service, depending on what your catering for Christmas needs are. Your event is in safe hands with us and we can propose an idea or two to make it stand out.

Here are just a few suggestions of how we can help with your catering for Christmas planning:

Drop off Christmas canapés (with or without staff)

We will drop off your chosen selection of canapés to your home, office or venue in good time for your party. We can also provide a selection of gorgeous platters for you to serve the canapés on. We can also provide staff to serve drinks & food if required, or ensure that everything’s left for you to serve your guests yourself.

Fill the fridge (or freezer)

Anything from pre – prepared one pots that you can just put in the oven for those unexpected guests, to ready to go sides to go with your Christmas Day roast. We can complement all of your catering for Christmas plans to ensure you don’t need to spend all of your time in the kitchen.

Don’t do desserts

They can be a bit time consuming and an afterthought. If making desserts isn’t the kind of catering for Christmas you like to do yourself, why not let us help? We love to get creative with sweet things in the kitchen, and all of these can be easily transported to your home for you to enjoy. This could be a selection of our Christmas bakes e.g. mince pies & stollen bites, a decorated Christmas cake or our famous Christmas pudding ice cream. More than just desserts though, we can also create a wonderful cheese cake using truckles of your favourite cheese, along with all of the usual cheese-y accoutrements (Caiger Christmas chutney, crackers & grapes)

Entertain guests and give the kids a break from school meals that they'll never forget and do Christmas right this year. Catering for Christmas is definitely our thing, so talk to us today about how we can help you get out of the kitchen & into your party.
