Caiger and Co Showcase

We had a busy few weeks in the lead up to our annual Caiger and Co Showcase, so here are all the details on what turned out to be a great evening…

Our showcase this year was held at “The Den”, one of the The Collective Venues, near Tottenham Court Road. The Den is a bit of a hidden gem, disguised as a townhouse just off Bedford Square, the basement has a relaxed and unique vibe, making it the perfect venue space to host our showcase.

Now more importantly…the food. This year we went with a theme of street food. These delicious appetizers incorporated a number of different cuisines from around the world, from sticky pork bao buns and chipotle chili nachos to homemade spicy salmon maki and zingy chicken lettuce cups. It all went down a treat, and the ginger pickled shitake bao proved to be a crowd favourite.

As well as this we had a number of our favourite suppliers offering up something a little special. Over Under Coffee, based in West London, set up their own stand serving up the most delicious espresso martinis. Jascots, one of our excellent wine merchants, held a mini wine tasting and had some lovely organic and bio-dynamic wines. On the bar we had our very own Kultured, offering lemon and orange kombucha based cocktails as well as Urban Cordials covering the soft drinks – all served in beautiful glassware from Adams Catering Hire!

Street food is becoming an increasingly popular choice, not only for parties, but for weddings too. Venues such as The Roost and Dalston Heights lend themselves perfectly to this slightly more fun and laid-back style of catering. It proved to be the perfect option for our showcase, which turned out to be a fun evening for everyone involved – thank you to those who made it all happen and to all of you who attended!
