5 minutes with Alix

We managed to grab 5 minutes with Head Chef & menu creating genius, Alix in the Caiger & Co kitchen. Here’s what she had to say….

– What are your favourite ingredients to cook with at the moment?

Kimchi! We’re making loads for High & now I can’t stop putting this & all kinds of other ferments on the menus. I’m also loving white asparagus & “cool chilli” corn tortillas

– If you had to go back & pick any career but catering, what do you think you’d be doing?

I think about this all the time! I have no idea. Maybe a gardener & then I could be outside but realistically probably sailing somewhere

– What do you put on your first BBQ of the year?

My mum’s burgers & the asparagus from my Dad’s veg patch
