A fine dining, aphrodisiac inspired dinner to honour the artist Helen Beard, using the best London suppliers – from the menu to the styling. Guests were greeted to a champagne and oyster bar, with seasonal canapes on arrival. The dinner was hosted in the main gallery, surrounded by the art, at a long dining table styled playfully and spirited, suited to her work. Bold, sexual flower arrangements ran down the table, framed with gold geometric chairs, and elegant, structural glassware. The menu true to the theme, showcased seasonal aphrodisiac, sensual dishes, paired with hand selected organic wines.

Oyster station with a selection of toppings

– Sweet corn, jalepeno and manchego croquettes with green tabasco aioli
– Smashed avocado in charcoal cups, with kimchi salsa and coriander cress
– Sweet potato hash browns with pickled plum, celery leaf pesto and pistachio
– Soy and pomegranate glazed chicken skewers, crispy onion and pistachio crumb

Starter

Roast beetroot pickled fennel, avocado, pistachio cream, crushed hazelnuts and rocket

Main Course

Roasted salmon fillet, golden beetroot puree with saffron, tarragon salsa verde, salmon caviar, pink radish cress

Purple ‘Vitellote’ potato salad with crispy capers, radishes and kefir and dill dressing

Watercress salad with roasted heritage carrots, pickled fennel, and pine-nuts with a pomegranate dressing

Dessert

Dark chocolate, salted caramel and chili tart, vanilla mascarpone, fresh figs, honeycomb
