Unit London

CaigerandCo • Aug 09, 2018

We couldn’t be happier to be working with the contemporary art space, Unit London, catering all of their upcoming exhibition launches at their Hanover Square gallery. Set up by Joe Kennedy and Jonny Burt, life long friends, who, disenfranchised with the elitist nature of the art world wanted to help young artists showcase their work. What started as a concept for an art exhibition grew into two gallery spaces in Covent Garden and Mayfair. Unit London is now recognised for its progressive approach in fostering current and exciting talent.

Since opening in June we have proudly catered 2 canapé events with Unit London, the latter being for the opening of their current exhibition (25/07/18 -26/08/18)  ‘Looking for U’. This group exhibition by 8 artists explores art in the digital age, using multimedia to address questions raised by modern day living and technology.

For the event, we chose canapés to reflect the aesthetic of the art with contemporary, colourful, eye catching dishes. We’re talking bight pink savoury beetroot panna cottas with whipped feta, cones of tequila cured stone bass and lentil and turmeric doughnuts topped with rare roast beef and mango puree. It was a great evening and we are looking forward to all of our future events!

At Caiger and Co it is imperative to support and collaborate with brands whose ethos we respect and believe in, Unit London is a refreshing change in the notoriously stuffy art world, bringing art to a wider, new and more receptive audience. Cheers to that.
