Burns Night – 25th January

CaigerandCo • Jan 26, 2017

Burn’s Night is a celebration of the life & poetry of Robert Burns – a Scottish poet whose birthday is today! These suppers are normally held on or near the poet’s birthday, or can be held throughout the year. Robert Burns’ friends held the first in July 1801, five years after his death. These can be formal or informal and typically include haggis, Scotch whisky and the reciting of poetry!

Alix has put together the perfect Burn’s Night dish – so whether you’re celebrating with family or friends – get your poetry readings ready & celebrate Robert Burns! Serve your Haggis with honey-roasted swede, mousseline potatoes accompanied with Venison quails Scotch egg for a modern twist on this traditional dish.
